Fans meet 2017 Salukis at Fan Fest

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Hundreds of fans came out to Saluki Stadium on Thursday evening to meet the 2017 Saluki Football team. Fans met and interacted with the 2017 Salukis 16 days before the season opener on Sept. 9 vs. Mississippi Valley State at Saluki Stadium. The student-athletes signed autographs and played with the younger fans.

Fans in attendance had the opportunity to tag their seats for season tickets for the upcoming season. Prairie Farms provided free chocolate milk and ice cream as 105.1 WVZA broadcasted live from the event. The Saluki mascots, cheerleaders and shakers were also on the field. More than 150 kids signed up for Brown Dawg's Saluki Kids Club.

Family weekend is set for Sept. 30 vs. Northern Iowa, and Homecoming is Oct. 14 against Illinois State. Purchase tickets on SIUSalukis.com by calling 877-SALUKIS.
