Salukis kick off 2018-19 season with Fan Fest

The Southern Illinois men's and women's basketball programs kicked off the 2018-19 season with Fan Fest on Tuesday evening.Â
More than 500 fans came to SIU Arena to pick up season tickets, meet the coaches and players, shoot baskets, take photos at the selfie station, and get autographs. Kids played in bounce houses and enjoyed a "Pie-a-Player" station.Â
The 2018-19 season starts on Friday with women's basketball's exhibition game against McKendree. The first chance to watch the men's team is on Thursday, November 1, with an exhibition game against East Central University (Okla.).Â
