Men's Golf in 20th after Day One in Hawaii

LAHAINA, Maui – The Southern Illinois men's golf team stands in 20th place after round one of the Ka'anapali Classic. The Salukis are six shots away from being in the top 15, though, with two rounds left to play.

Seniors Peyton Wilhoit (-1) and Luke Gannon (E) led the way for the Salukis as they are both tied within the top 60. Wilhoit (-1) is tied with 11 other players for 47^th. Luke Gannon (E) is tied with 11 other players for 59^th.

The field features nine BCS programs and the Salukis are ready to head back out on the course tomorrow for a redeeming round of golf. Round two will start tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. HT with a shotgun start. Round three will be Sunday, November 4^th. Live stats are available at Golfstat.com.
