Saluki Athletics announces Hoops for the Holidays initiative

Saluki Athletics would like to announce our Hoops for the Holidays men's basketball game on December 22Â against Winthrop University at SIU Arena at 3Â p.m. The Hoops for the Holidays initiative gives children who are less fortunate an opportunity to attend an SIU basketball game.

In order to support our community, we are asking all Saluki fans to donate $10 per ticket that will go toward the donation of tickets for the children. Also, if you already have tickets for that game and cannot attend because of holiday travel, please contact Ron Reeves at ronald.reeves@siu.edu to donate your ticket(s) toward the Hoops for the Holidays game.
In addition to your donation to the Hoops for the Holidays game, the children and their families will also have the opportunity to participate in the following:
- Meet Santa Claus
- Holiday music in the lobby
- SIU ornament giveaway for the first 400 families
- Ugly sweater contest
