TAMPA, Fla. – Southern Illinois Men's Golf heads to Tampa for the South Florida Invitational on March 12-13. The team traveling this week will be Peyton Wilhoit, Luke Gannon, Dirk Kuehler, Hunter York and Frankie Thomas with Dean Harpe playing as an individual.

SIU will be playing 36 holes in an 11-team field made up of host USF, Cleveland State, Delaware, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Florida A&M, George Mason, Mercer, Murray State, and Stetson. The teams will play on a course at Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club designed by renowned architect Arthur Hills.

The Salukis last played at the Seminole Intercollegiate where they placed eighth out of 14 team. "Team feels good heading into this event," said SIU head coach Justin Fetcho. "I think we have learned a lot from our previous events this spring and have put in some good work to be successful this week."
