SIU hosts Belmont on Tuesday and Murray State on Wednesday for a pair of mid-week games. The Salukis are trying to sweep mid-week home-and-homes from each school. Both games are slated to start at 5 p.m.

Southern Illinois hosts Belmont on Tuesday and Murray State on Wednesday in a pair of mid-week games at Itchy Jones Stadium. Both contests are set to start at 5 p.m.

Since March 5, SIU is 14-4 against unranked opponents.
Wednesday is Military Appreciation Day. The SIU Air Force ROTC will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and all active duty military and veterans will receive free admission.
On Tuesday, SIU will wear special blue uniforms for Donate Life Month, which encourages organ and tissue donation and celebrates donors.
Logan Blackfan enters the games with an active 15-game hitting streak, the longest for any SIU player since Chris Serritella had a 24-game hitting streak in 2012.
Nikola Vasic has reached in 32 of the last 33 games. He was one of 31 players nationally to reach base in every game in the month of March.
Dylan Givens is slated to make his fourth career start. He has a 3.65 ERA in his previous three starts.
Hunter Hart will make his first start for Southern Illinois. The Arkansas transfer has pitched just one inning in 2018, a scoreless inning at Murray State.
SIU ranks second in the nation with 24 sacrifice flies.
SIU ranks fourth in the nation with 85 stolen bases.
- Last year's SIU team stole 100 bases, which led the MVC by 42 and ranked 14th nationally.
  - This year's team is on pace to challenge the school record of 139 stolen bases.
- Connor Kopach ranks 11th in the nation with 20 stolen bases. Kopach has 71 career stolen bases, which ranks second among all active players in the country.
- Four of the top six base stealers in the MVC are Salukis. Kopach (1st), Alex Lyon (2nd), Addison Fugitt (4th), Nikola Vasic (6th).
During mid-week games, Alex Lyon is hitting .481 (13-for-27); Connor Kopach is hitting .375 (12-for-32); Drew Curtis is hitting .375 (6-for-16); and Austin Ulick is hitting .357 (5-for-14).
SIU has led the MVC in double plays turned in four of the last five years. SIU currently leads the MVC in 2018, which would be the fifth time in the last six seasons the Salukis led the league in turning double plays.
