- Southern Illinois visits Evansville for Southern's third-straight road weekend.
- SIU is makings its third trip to Evansville in the last four seasons. The Salukis dropped two of three in 2015 and won two of three in 2016. SIU swept the Aces in Carbondale last season.
- Since March 5, Southern Illinois is 17-4 against unranked opponents.
- Logan Blackfan enters the weekend with an active 21-game hitting streak, the longest for an SIU player since Chris Serritella had a 24-game hitting streak in 2012.
