Southern Illinois will host Eastern Illinois on Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Itchy Jones Stadium. The Salukis are looking to avenge last year's 10-7 loss to the Panthers.

Southern Illinois hosts Eastern Illinois at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 10, in Itchy Jones Stadium.

Dylan Givens is slated to make his third career start. He allowed just one earned run in four innings last week against Austin Peay.
In his last six appearances (15.1 innings), Givens has a 2.93 ERA.
SIU ranks second in the nation with 23 sacrifice flies.
SIU ranks fourth in the nation with 78 stolen bases.
- Last year's SIU team stole 100 bases, which led the MVC by 42 and ranked 14th nationally.
  - This year's team is on pace to challenge the school record of 139 stolen bases.
- Connor Kopach ranks fourth in the nation with 19 stolen bases. Kopach has 70 career stolen bases, which ranks second among all active players in the country.
- Four of the top six base stealers in the MVC are Salukis. Kopach (1st), Alex Lyon (3rd), Addison Fugitt (4th), Nikola Vasic (6th).
During mid-week games, Alex Lyon is hitting .500 (12-for-24) and Connor Kopach is hitting .429 (12-for-28).
SIU has led the MVC in double plays turned in four of the last five years.
