Revamped Chicagoland Golf Challenge & Post-Game set for July 9 at Idlewild Country Club

CARBONDALE, Ill. — Registration is open for the 29th-annual Chicagoland Golf Challenge & Post-Game on Monday, July 9 at Idlewild Country Club in Flossmoor, Illinois. All proceeds benefit Saluki Athletics.
While still a classic 18-hole scramble, the course will be set up with a series of challenges, games and targets. Campus leaders, student-athletes, recent graduates and notable alumni will be stationed throughout the course.
The post-game event will focus on celebrating Southern Illinois University student-athletes and will provide an opportunity to meet and mix with University staff and alumni from the Chicagoland area. Featured guests include Chancellor Carlo Montemagno and Director of Athletics Jerry Kill.
Check-in begins at 11 a.m., followed by lunch and a shotgun start at 1 p.m. The post-game program and buffet dinner starts at 6 p.m.
The entry fee is $600 ($100 tax deductible) for a foursome, $160 ($35 tax deductible) for individuals and $130 ($5 tax deductible) for young alumni (SIU grad within the last five years) and includes, greens fee, cart, entry gift, lunch and dinner. The cost to attend only the post-game and dinner is $50. Register online at siualumni.com.
