Men's Golf finishes in 15th at Gator Invitational

The Southern Illinois men's golf team finished the Gator Invitational in 15th place with a score of 886. The team concludeed their first time playing in the Gator Invitational after facing some tough competition.
Freshman Matthis Besard finished in the top 25 with a score of 213 and only three stokes above par. Senior Peyton Wilhoit (+12) finished tied for 60th with a score of 222. Senior Luke Gannon (+14) finished tied for 71st with a score of 226. Senior Hunter York (+18) finished tied for 75th with a score of 228. Freshman Vikar Jonasson (+22) finished in 81st place with a score of 232. SIU stood their ground against some of the best players and teams in the country.
The Salukis head back to Carbondale for only a few days before they are back on the road. They head back to the Desert Intercollegiate for the second year in a row in Palm Desert, Calif.
