Kevin Kendrick, associate athletic director for compliance in Saluki Athletics, is one of 18 athletic administrators selected to participate in the Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute. This professional development opportunity takes place this week in Tampa, Florida.
Participants in the program will create a budget that will allow athletic and campus administrators to assist them in problem solving, raising money and allow for enhanced strategic planning.
"I expect the intense, rigorous, and demanding programming provided will be a strong background to further my career, the Compliance office and Saluki athletics," said Kendrick. "Last year's class experienced six promotions and was awarded PhDs, MBAs, and a host of other professional degrees and certificates."
Saluki Athletics continues to push the professional development and educational development to strengthen the careers of administrators and build the expertise of the athletic staff and coaches.
"Although many colleagues in the business were the driving force for me to put my name out there, it wouldn't be possible without the support of our upper administration," said Kendrick. "(Athletic director) Coach (Jerry) Kill has been invested in his staff since day one and I feel so honored to have this opportunity."
