Loyola opened up scoring late in the first half, with a last-chance shot by midfielder Jaimee Cibulka, ricocheting off of the Ramblers' Olivia Rhodes and Madeleine Barone.
Heading into the second half, LUC stuck again with a shot from the corner by midfielder Abby Swanson in the 48th minute of action. Midfielder Taylor Harrison went back-to-back on goals, claiming the net in the 53rd and 63rd minutes, with shots drawn in right on the outside of the box. The Ramblers solidified the 5-0 score with a goal by midfielder Olivia Rhodes on the corner kick, drawn in by forward Bailey Faulkner.
Leading the pack for the Salukis were forward McKensey Bunch (2SH, 2SOG), midfielder Ashley Scesniak (1SH, 1SOG), and forward Kaitlin DuCharme (1SH, 1SOG).
SIU is back for their last road match of the season in Cedar Falls, Iowa to battle Northern Iowa on Saturday, October 23 at 1pm.
