Regular season concludes vs. DBU

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The SIU baseball team hosts Dallas Baptist for a four-game series May 20-22 at Itchy Jones Stadium in the final games of the regular season. SIU, with 36 wins, has the fifth-most wins in the nation. Dallas Baptist has already clinched the MVC regular season title and the No. 1 seed in next week's MVC Tournament. All four games will be broadcast nationally on ESPN+ or ESPN3.Â

- SIU's regular season comes to an end with a four-game series against Dallas Baptist, which has already secured the 2021 MVC regular season title. The four-game series starts Thursday night.
- SIU will honor 10 seniors on Saturday: Philip Archer, Adam Bunnell, Dylan Givens, Ian Walters, Brad Harrison, Nick Neville, Austin Ulick, Noah Farmer, Tony Rask, and Brad Hudson.

- Cody Cleveland (Player of the Week) and Noah Farmer (Pitcher of the Week) are the reigning MVC weekly award winners. Farmer pitched a complete-game shutout at Indiana State on Sunday, facing just four over the minimum. Cleveland went 14-for-22 (.636) and had five multi-hit games last week.Â
- Dawg Bites: SIU has won eight of its last 10 MVC games after starting conference play 5-9 ... SIU has pitched four shutouts in its last 11 games ... J.T.
