Special halftime performance by XPogo Stunt Team
CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois hosts Northern Iowa in a key Missouri Valley Conference showdown of perennial league powers on Saturday at 7 p.m.
The contest is billed as the program's annual White Out game, in which fans are encouraged to wear white to Banterra Center. The game includes a special halftime performance by the nationally acclaimed XPogo Stunt Team.
The Salukis (9-6, 2-1) have won seven-straight games at the Banterra Center, including all six home games this season. The Panthers (8-7, 4-1) are in the midst of a four-game winning streak and are led by guard AJ Green, the 2020 Larry Bird MVC Player of the Year.
Quoting Coach Mullins
"Excited to have a game back at the Banterra Center and be able to play in front of our community and students, going against a championship program in Northern Iowa. They're a very similar team to the one that won the conference championship two years ago, adding (Bowen) Born and (Nate) Heis and a couple other pieces — an experienced team playing their best basketball right now. It's going to be a huge challenge but a great opportunity for us to get back in the win column. We have to be able to play both sides of the ball at a high level to get the result we want on Saturday night."
