Â
QUICK HITS

Â
POWER 5 ROAD WIN
• The Salukis rallied to defeat Oklahoma State to earn the program's first true road win over a Power 5 opponent since 2000 when SIU beat Colorado in the NIT. Southern has a Power 5 win in the last two seasons now, after defeating Colorado during the Paradise Jam in 2021-22.Â
Â
DAWGS USE DEFENSE TO PULL UPSET
• Southern held Oklahoma State to just 34.5 percent shooting in the second half en route to a 12-point comeback on the road to pull off the upset. SIU held the Cowboys without a field goal for over four minutes until the end of regulation, including three steals in that time.
Â
DUO CONTINUES TO CLIMB THE CHARTS
• Marcus Domask and Lance Jones are now in a three-way tie with Tom Millikin (1949-52, 54) for 34th all-time in program history with 1,092 career points each. Jones scored 19 to lead the Salukis at OSU while Domask dropped in 16 points.
Â
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Â

Southern jumped out to an early 13-4 lead after six minutes, as Troy D'Amico, Lance Jones and Domask all buried threes. Trailing, 55-45, with 6:43 to go, the Salukis finished the game on a 16-5 run, and all 16 points were scored by either Domask or Lance Jones, who led the team in scoring with 16 and 19 points, respectively.
