Saluki Athletics to host Title IX Celebration Luncheon for former Female Student-Athletes

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Title IX and to celebrate the accomplishments of Saluki Women in Athletics and Education, Saluki Athletics will host a Title IX celebration luncheon for former female student-athletes, coaches, and administrators from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, September 10th in the Charles Helleny Pavilion at Banterra Center. Panelists will include Dr. Charlotte West, Diane Daugherty, Kerri Blaylock, Sonya Locke-Hopkins, DeAnna Price and A'veun Moore-Jones.

Tickets are $20 per person. The registration fee covers the luncheon, and a portion of the proceeds benefit the Saluki Athletics Women's Initiatives, which supports female student-athletes.

4:00 p.m. - Keynote Address, Dr. Linda Baker, SIU Professor of the Paul Simon Public Policy. Dr. Baker is the former secretary for the State of Illinois Department of Human Services and is the first African American legislative liaison for an Illinois governor.
