
Salukis Picked Third, Ready to Compete at MVC Championship Meet

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois Women's Swimming & Diving team travels to Iowa City for the Missouri Valley Conference Championship Meet this week.
The Salukis came in at third place with 81 points and the final first place vote in the pre championship poll.Â
"We are really excited to get this meet going tomorrow night," said Head Coach Geoff Hanson. "This team has worked extremely hard for the last 6 months to get to this point, and we are looking forward to seeing the payoffs of all of that hard work."Â
The meet will be hosted by Northern Iowa inside the Iowa Campus Recreation and wellness Center. The meet will take place Wednesday through Saturday (Feb. 15 - Feb. 18), with finals beginning at 6 PM on all days. The meet will be live streamed on the UNI Athletics Youtube Channel. Â

The MVC Championship Meet concludes the 2022-2023 season for the SIU Women unless it produces a NCAA Qualifier. The NCAA Women's Championships are set for March 15-18 in Knoxville, Tennessee
