
Salukis Set to Host Coach B Classic

Carbondale, IL - The Southern Illinois Salukis (6-2) will make their 2023 home debut this Friday, February 24 at 2:15 against the Northern Kentucky Norse in game one of the Coach B Classic. The Salukis will play against NKU both Friday and Saturday afternoon, followed by a scheduled 5:15 start against DePaul on Saturday, before one last game on Sunday afternoon at 3pm. Joining Northern Kentucky at Charlotte West Stadium for the three-day tournament will be DePaul and SIUE.Â

As a team, the Salukis are hitting .291 on the season with an on-base percentage of .381 which mark the third-highest average and second-highest OBP in the Valley.

Madi Eberle is one of just two pitchers in the Valley to have thrown for more than 20 innings while having an ERA of under 1.00. She's totaled 23 innings pitched on the season, giving up just three earned runs for a 0.91 ERA.
