Men's Golf adds Sixth Signee to 2023 Class

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois men's golf team announced the signing of Edouard Cereto on Friday. Cereto, a Sophomore transfer from Indian Hills Community College has two top 15 finishes in Division I tournaments this season.
"We are extremely excited to add Edouard to our Saluki family," said SIU Director of Golf Justin Fetcho. "Edouard has performed at a high level as a junior player, on top of seeing collegiate success in his one season at the junior college level. He has been able to secure two Top 15 performances in Division I events while at his junior college so you know he is not afraid of the challenge of competing."

Edouard Cereto will have three years of eligibility remaining, and joins Frank Bellino, Leon Heitz, Andrew Watson, Dan Richie, and Oliver Ulrich as signees for the Salukis next season.

- Ranked #1468 in the world via Scratch Players World Rankings.
- Ranked #2436 in the world via World Amateur Golf Rankings.
- Finished 1st in the St. Andrew Boys Open.
- Finished as a semi-finalist for the French Boys International Championship.
- Won the AJGA Amundi Evian Senior Showcase in Las Vegas, Nevada.
