
Softball finishes third in country in team GPA

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University's softball team finished the 2023 season third in the country in team GPA.
The Salukis posted a 3.763 GPA as a team, finishing ahead of schools like Harvard University, Bucknell University, and the University of Toledo.
Southern Illinois was one of four teams in the nation to have a 3.75 or better GPA, with the others being Georgia State University, Illinois State University, and Northern Illinois University.
To go along with the top-five finish in team GPA, the Salukis also had 19 All-America Scholar-Athletes, who are listed below.
Emma Anthony, Emma Austin, Addi Baker, Anna Carder, Bailey Caylor, Jenna Christeson, Aubree DePron, Madi Eberle, Kerrigan Gamm, Rylie Hamilton, Hannah Hockerman, Sidney Jones, Erin Lee, Jackie Lis, Alexis Rudd, Tori Schullian, Chloe Scroggins, Elliott Stinson, and Haley Wilkerson.
