Saluki Basketball Opens 2023-24 with First Official Practice

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki basketball has officially opened its 2023-24 season as the squad completed its first official team practice early Monday morning inside Banterra Center.
Fifth-year head coach Bryan Mullins returns eight players from last season's 23-win team but will look to replace two of his top scorers as six newcomers lace up for the first time in maroon.
The excitement continues to build for the new-look Salukis as the team is set to play a program-high 18 games at home. The 11-game nonconference slate features highly anticipated home matchups versus Saint Louis (Dec. 2) and Oklahoma State (Dec. 5).
