CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball will look to snap their four-game losing streak with a trip to Valparaiso and UIC beginning Friday.

SERIES HISTORY:
- Southern trails Valparaiso in the series, with the Beacons winning six matches in a row. The last Saluki victory came on February 14, 2021 at Valpo.
- SIU leads the all-time series against UIC 15-8, but the Flames have won two of three since they joined the Missouri Valley Conference, including a victory in the most recent matchup in Carbondale on October 21, 2023.
QUICK HITS:
- Southern Illinois ranks third in the MVC in total blocks (128.5) and blocks/set (2.01).
- Anna Jaworski currently sits third in school history with 3,467 assists.
- Larissa Seger is sixth in the MVC with a hitting percentage of 30.3%. She also ranks sixth in total blocks (59) and blocks per set (0.94).
- Cecilia Bulmahn ranks fifth in The Valley with 271 digs, and seventh in digs per set (4.23).
- Eva Krakowski ranks ninth in The Valley in blocks per set at (0.87).
- Ema Stermenska ranks sixth in The Valley with 21 service aces and is ninth in service aces/set (0.33).
- Southern Illinois is 5-1 in five-set matches, with the only loss coming at Lindenwood (9/14).
- The Salukis hold the MVC high for aces in a three-set match with 11 versus Idaho on August 31.
