Preview | Saluki Volleyball looks to get back on track at Evansville, Indiana State

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball will travel to the Hoosier State to play Evansville and Indiana State beginning Friday, Oct. 18, in Evansville, Ind.

SERIES HISTORY:

Southern leads the all-time series against the Purple Aces 49-19, winning four of the last five including the last match on October 28, 2023, a 3-1 win at Evansville.
The Salukis hold a 57-23-1 lead over the Sycamores in the all-time series, winning the last four in a row, all ending in four-set victories for SIU including the most recent affair on October 27, 2023, in Terre Haute.

QUICK HITS:

Southern Illinois ranks fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference in total blocks (141.5) and blocks/set (1.99).
Anna Jaworski currently sits third in school history with 3,489 assists.
Larissa Seger is ninth in the MVC with a hitting percentage of 29.3%. She also ranks fifth in total blocks (65) and blocks per set (0.93).
Cecilia Bulmahn ranks ninth in The Valley with 290 digs, and seventh in digs per set (4.08). She also ranks ninth in total service aces with 23, seven of which came in Saturday's (10/12) loss at UIC. That mark is The Valley's highest in a three-set match so far this season.
Southern Illinois is 5-1 in five-set matches, with the only loss coming at Lindenwood (9/14).
The Salukis hold the MVC high for aces in a three-set match with 11 versus Idaho on Aug. 31.
SIU is tied for the most blocks in a five-set match when they denied 14 attacks against Missouri State on Sept. 19.
