CARBONDALE, Ill. — The Southern Illinois men's and women's swimming and diving teams will travel to West Lafayette, Indiana, to compete in the Purdue Invitational from Thursday, Nov. 21, through Saturday, Nov. 23.

Looking at Southern Illinois
- The Salukis are coming off a victory at the A3 Performance Invitational, where both the men's and women's teams finished in first place.
- Southern Illinois set 10 new records at the A3 Invitational: eight Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) records and two program records.
- Alex Santiago set two individual MVC records in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle.
- Olivia Herron set an MVC record in the 200-yard breaststroke and broke two program records in the 200 IM and 400 IM.
- Henrique Pacheco and Benedek Andor each set MVC records as well. Pacheco set a new 400 IM record, and Andor broke the 200 IM record.
