TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Southern Illinois University women's basketball team (7-16, 2-11 MVC) will continue its four-game road trip on Saturday at 12 p.m. (CT) when it takes on Indiana State.Â

QUICK HITS
- The Salukis will continue their longest road trip (four games) of the season on Saturday at 12 p.m. vs. Indiana State.Â
- SIU fell in overtime, 93-89, in its last game on Thursday at Evansville. Southern shot 51.5% from the field but allowed a field-goal percentage of 53.6% and three-point percentage of 53.3% in the loss.
- Laniah Randle put up a career-high 32 points in Thursday's game in Indiana.Â
- At the midway point in February, Southern Illinois sits in 10th place in the Valley.Â
- The Salukis are eighth in the MVC in scoring offense (67.1) and fifth in scoring defense (69.2).
- SIU is first in the conference and 18th in the nation in turnovers forced-per-game (20.86).Â

LEADING THE SALUKIS
- Laniah Randle is the only player in the MVC to be top three in both scoring (third, 18.2) and rebounding (second, 8.7). Randle is also tied for 12th in total blocks (18) and fourth in total steals (49). The junior has had 20 or more points in 11 games this season, and two games with over 30.Â
- Randle is 75th in the NCAA in scoring, 62nd in rebounding, and tied for 27th in offensive rebounds-per-game (3.7). The junior forward has eight double-doubles on the season, which is tied for 50th in the country.
- In all of 2022-23, SIU had six total double-doubles. The Salukis have 11 as a team this season. Randle has provided eight of them, while Hughes has the other three.Â
- Jaidynn Mason is second on the team and 11th in the MVC in scoring, averaging 13.9 points to go along with 3.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.8 steals-per-game, with the steals average leading the conference. Mason posted her 12th game with 10+ points on Thursday, and has three games with over 20 points on the year.Â
- Quierra Love is third in the MVC and is tied for 70th in the NCAA in steals-per-game (2.3). Love has posted two or more steals in 12 games, and has at least four steals in six games. The senior is now seventh all-time in career steals (186) at SIU, surpassing D.D. Plab with two steals on Feb. 9.
- Love is third in the Valley in assists-per-game (4.2), and is tied for sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.7).Â
- Adrianna Katcher has posted nine steals in her last three games and is averaging 2.4 steals-per-game over her last five appearances.Â
- The Salukis' roster is made up of three seniors, five juniors, one sophomore, and three freshmen. SIU's three seniors are Love, Katcher, and Sydney Prochaska.Â
LOOKING AT INDIANA STATE
- Indiana State holds an overall record of 8-15 and Missouri Valley Conference record of 4-9.Â
- The Sycamores have lost two-straight games, including in their last game on Thursday when they fell to Missouri State, 59-51. Indiana State was out-scored, 16-7, in the fourth by the Lady Bears.Â
- Kiley Bess led the Sycamores with 17 points in Thursday's loss.Â
- Indiana State is 10th in scoring offense (63.5) and fourth in scoring defense (69.0).
- Bess leads Indiana State in points-per-game (10.6), followed by Mya Glanton (10.4).Â
- Deidra Johnson is serving as the Sycamores' interim head coach. Johnson has a record of 4-9 and is in her third year on staff.
SERIES HISTORY
- Southern Illinois is 60-47 against the Sycamores all-time. This will be the 108th meeting between the two programs.Â
- Indiana State defeated SIU, 64-63, on Jan. 19, at Southern in the last meeting.
- Glanton had a team-high 19 points for Indiana State, while Randle paced SIU with 22 points.Â
