News | Cereto named MVC Golfer of the Week

ST, LOUIS, Mo. — Edouard Cereto was named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Cereto posted a tournament score of 212 (-1) which was good enough for first place in the individual competition Sunday at the Hoosier Collegiate. He was instrumental in Southern's fourth-place finish, its highest of the spring season. Cereto leads the Salukis with an average round score of 71.97 and the most rounds finished in the 60s with nine. He joins Dain Richie as the only Salukis to tally multiple top-10 finishes at Division I tournaments.

Cereto and the Salukis will look to continue positive momentum at the Hawkeye Invitational beginning Saturday, April 13.
