Preview | Volleyball opens first MVC weekend with two-game set in Iowa

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball will travel to Iowa for its first full weekend of Missouri Valley Conference action Friday. The Salukis will play Northern Iowa Friday and Drake Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY:
- UNI leads the all-time series over the Salukis with 67 wins to the Salukis' 13 and has won 15 in a row dating back to September 23, 2016.
- The Salukis lead the all-time series versus the Bulldogs 45-30, but Drake has won the last seven matchups. The last Saluki victory came on November 2, 2019.
QUICK HITS:
- Anna Jaworski currently sits fourth in school history with 3,419 assists and is one assist away from tying Rachel Brown (2009-12) for third on the list. She currently ranks 10th in the MVC with 271 assists in 2024.
- Avery Parris put the team on her back and led a furious comeback win against SEMO on Saturday, September 21, in Carbondale. She put down 17 kills, more than double her previous season high of seven.
- Larissa Seger has been a stabilizing force in the middle and is fourth in the MVC with a hitting percentage of 30.7%. She also ranks fourth in total blocks (46) and blocks per set (0.92)
- Ema Stermenska ranks sixth in The Valley in total aces with 17.
- Cecilia Bulmahn ranks third in The Valley with 226 digs, and seventh in digs per set (4.43).
- Eva Krakowski ranks seventh in The Valley with 40 total blocks and fifth in blocks per set at (0.98).
- Annabelle Sulish has seven double-doubles in 12 games and ranks eighth in The Valley in points with 163.5.
