Saluki Cross Country wraps regular season at Angel Mounds Invitational

CARBONDALE, Ill. -Â Southern Illinois University Cross Country returns to the course this Friday in Evansville, Indiana, for an invitational that doubles as a preview of the Missouri Valley Conference Championship course at Angel Mounds. Both the women (6K) and men (8K) will get a race-day rehearsal on the same layout they'll see at MVCs later this month.
The men will kick off the event with an 8K start at 9 a.m., and the women will race at 9:50 a.m.
Women:
FA deep regional lineup expected to include programs such as Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Brescia, Central State, Cincinnati, Eastern Kentucky, Evansville, Indianapolis, Lipscomb, Morehead State, Northern Kentucky, Rose-Hulman, Southeast Missouri, SIUE, Southern Indiana, Tennessee Tech, Transylvania, UT Martin, Vincennes, Western Kentucky, and more.
After Friday's race, SIU will return to Evansville for the MVC Championships on Oct. 31. The Salukis will then see who qualifies for the NCAA Midwest Regional in Stillwater, Okla.
