Preview | Track and Field gets back on track at the Cougar Classic

CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois Track and Field will travel to its third outdoor meet of 2025 at the Cougar Classic on Saturday, April 12, at 10 a.m. This meet is replaces the Bill Cornell Spring Invitational
that was canceled due to heavy rain.
The Salukis will compete against 16 opposing teams including host SIU Edwardsville. Valley foe Evansville, headlines a field featuring Missouri, Saint Louis, SEMO, Lindenwood, Principia, Southern Indiana, Principia, Central Methodist (Mo.), Harris-Stowe State (Mo.), Illinois-Springfield, Judson (Ill.), Mineral Area (Mo.), Missouri Baptist, Oakland City (Ind.), and UMSL.
The Cougar Classic is a one-day event starting at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw. Track events will begin at noon with the women's 3000M Steeplechase.
