CARBONDALE, Ill. — Southern Illinois men's golf will hold its annual golf-scramble fundraiser on Friday, Aug. 1, at The Links at Kokopelli, Head Coach Justin Fetcho announced Tuesday.
"This fundraiser is so vital for our program and our student-athletes," Fetcho said. "We have been able to provide a championship-level program to our players through this event. We are able to travel to some of the best events in the country as well as provide our student-athletes with the extras needed to compete for championships."
Teams of six can enter for $900 or individual golfers can sign up for $150. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available.
All entries include a greens fee, cart, lunch and a special gift. A portion of the entry fee may be tax deductible.
"Winning championships is bigger than one person, it requires a huge community of people. Saluki Nation has played such a pivotal role in the success of our program. This event ensures we are able to continue to provide our student-athletes with every opportunity to not just enjoy life as a Saluki, but also to put championship rings on their fingers."
