Her double-double against UIC was her fifth double-double of the season.
The Matchup
Southern holds the advantage over Indiana State, 57-47. The Sycamores did win their last matchup, an 87-63 drubbing in Carbondale on February 9, 2025. Prior to that, on January 16, 2025, was SIU's last win in the series, a 63-58 win at Indiana State. Southern has not successfully defended their home court against the Sycamores since February 23, 2023. The series has been back-and-forth as of late too. After the Salukis' 12-game win streak from 2019-2023 ended, neither squad has won consecutive games against each other.
The Sycamores currently hold an overall record of 6-11 while they are 2-5 within conference play. They are coming off a home win against Evansville on Sunday. Before that, Indiana State had lost three straight Missouri Valley Conference contests between January 4 and January 15.
