Stephen Arvanis is in this third year as volunteer assistant coach for the cross country and track programs. As a Saluki, Arvanis was a two-time MVC Champion in the 800 meter run and an eight-time All-MVC performer. His indoor 800m time of 1:50.07 ranks 3rd on the all-time SIU list. In his time as a volunteer assistant, Arvanis has assisted in all aspects of the distance program, including the MVC men[apos]s cross country championship in 2012.
