Named a first team All-American by four different services in 2009...Was the 2009 Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Year while leading his team to a 11-2 record, the MVFC Championship, a No. 1 national ranking for three weeks and the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs...Finished third in the voting for the 2009 Walter Payton Award, which is given to the most outstanding player in the Football Championship Subdivision...His 1,694 rushing yards in 2009 led the FCS and was the third most in school history...Set a new SIU school record with 2,339 all-purpose yards in 2009...Finished his career with 26 rushing touchdowns in two seasons, which ties for the fifth most in school history...Averaged 6.58 yards per carry in his career and 7.06 yards per attempt in 2009...Had 10 career 100-yard rushing games and nine in 12 games in 2009...Only fumbled once in 351 career touches at SIU...Redshirted in 2008 when he missed the entire season with a knee injury...Was SIU's third-leading rusher in 2007, when he carried the ball 76 times for 386 yards...Led 2007 team with eight rushing touchdowns...Attended Northeast Oklahoma A&M Junior College in 2005 and 2006...Earned honorable mention All-SWJCFC (Southwest Junior College Football Conference) honors in 2006...Rushed for 994 yards and 15 touchdowns as a freshman and was named honorable mention All-America.
