Outdoor: Qualified for his first NCAA West Prelims, where he finished 25th with a clearance of 16’-10.75” (5.15m)…Won his second MVC pole vault title, and his first outdoors, with a personal-best clearance of 17’-1.5” (5.22m)...His clearance at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/14) is tied for the fifth-best mark in school history…With his win at the MVC Outdoor Championships, became the 10th Saluki, and the 24th vaulter in Valley history dating back to 1968, to complete the season sweep of the MVC pole vault titles…Also helped SIU to a fourth place finish in the 4x100 relay at the 2017 MVC Outdoor Championships (5/14)…Including his win at the conference meet, won four pole vault titles…Won at the Tennessee Relays (4/8) with a clearance of 17’-0.75” (5.20m)…Claimed first place at the Ole Miss Classic (5/6) with a vault of 16’-8.75” (5.10m)…Took home first at the Joey Haines Invite (4/1)…Competed at eight outdoor meets.
Indoor: Won the pole vault with the fourth-best clearance in school history at the 2017 MVC Indoor Championships (2/25)…He became the first Saluki to clear 17’ indoors since Cody Doerflein did so in 2012 with his clearance of 17'-1.50" (5.22m)…Won Southern’s first MVC men’s indoor pole vault title since Ryan Sidwell in 2013...Tallied three top-three finishes at four indoor meets.
