Raimondi, a native of Harwood Heights, Ill., comes to Carbondale from Benedictine University, where he spent two seasons with the Eagles as an assistant coach (throws) after graduating from Carthage College in 2012.
Raimondi had an impressive stint at Benedictine, where in two years he coached two national qualifiers, 16 conference champions, three NACC Field Athletes of the Conference and took down three Eagle school records. During his time with the Eagles, Raimondi also served as the meet director for the Chicagoland Throws Series.
At Carthage, Raimondi compiled a superb four-year career as a thrower. Raimondi was an All-American in the hammer throw outdoors in 2012, taking home third place. He was a seven-time qualifier for the national meet across several different events. Raimondi was also a star in the classroom as well. He was a two-time Academic All-American, a recipient of the jack Swartz All-Academic Award and was the Student of the Year for the Carthage Exercise & Sports Science/Health department.
As a graduate assistant, Raimondi is currently working toward his master's of science in kinesiology.

2012
Finished third in the hammer throw (Carthage-record 199-4) at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship and earned U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-America honors...named the "most valuable field athlete" at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship after winning three events, the shot put (53-1 ½), the discus (160-5) and the hammer throw (190-7)...named CCIW "athlete of the week" on March 27 after winning two events at the March 24 Rhodes Invitational...named CCIW "athlete of the week" again on April 24...named the "most valuable field athlete" at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship after winning the weight throw (60-4 ½) and finishing second in the shot put (51-11 ¾)...named CCIW indoor "athlete of the week" on Feb. 7.
2011
Finished 16th in the hammer throw (176-6) at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championship...finished third in both the hammer throw (176-7) and the shot put (51-11 ¼) and fifth in the discus (155-5) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship and was named "co-most outstanding field athlete"...named CCIW "Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week" on April 19...took fourth place in both the shot put (51-0) and the weight throw (58-4 ½) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship.
2010
Finished sixth in the hammer throw (156-10) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship...finished fifth in the shot put (48-8) and sixth in the discus (146-6) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship...finished 12th in the weight throw (46-7 ½) and 18th in the shot put (40-10 1/2) at the CCIW Indoor Track and Field Championship...won in the discus (145-5) at the Wisconsin Private College Outdoor Championship.
2009
Finished eighth in the discus (137-9) and 23rd in the hammer throw (114-7) at the CCIW Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
High School
Earned All-Metro Suburban Conference honors and coached by former Carthage football player Kris Norton...in football, named all-conference and Pioneer Press all-area both his junior and senior years and coached by Chris Zack, a letterwinner on the 1998 and 1999 Carthage football teams...honor student.
