In addition to her three national titles, she was a three-time national runner-up in the shot put, hammer throw and weight throw. McCall continued to compete on the international stage and was the first American woman to medal in the hammer throw in worldwide competition with her win in the event at the 2013 World University Games.
Throughout her career, Stevens has specialized in the shot put and hammer throw. In 2013, Stevens won the gold medal in the hammer throw at the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, Russia.
Her personal bests in shot put (both outdoor and indoor) and weight throw came while she was in Carbondale. Stevens has competed all across the world during her time as an athlete, including in South Korea, China, Costa Rica, and the United Kingdom.
Stevens competed in the World Championships in 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2018. McCall was inducted into the Southern Illinois Hall of Fame in 2018.
