Elizabeth Uthoff shot a first place round of 75 (36-39) to lead Southern Illinois University Carbondale's women's golf team to a third place finish with a team score of 327 tying with Southwest Missouri State Saturday at the Illinois State Redbird Classic.
Uthoff shared the top spot with Northern Iowa's Jenny Heinz (36-39) and Bradley's Jil Swenson (37-38) who also posted 75 marks. Also placing in the top 20 of the tournament was Alison Hiller who tied for sixth with a score of 79 (39-40).
Southern Illinois finished behind tournament winner Bradley (316) and runner-up Northern Iowa (322).
