The Southern Illinois University women's golf team combined for a two-round team score of 627 (309-318) as it finished third at the Northern Iowa Classic in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
A trio of Salukis finished the tournament among the top-20 placeholders. Elizabeth Uthoff (75-81-156) and Andrea Turner (77-79-156) each tied for ninth while Alison Hiller (77-81-158) tied for 17th.
SIU's third place finish marked the second consecutive time this season the Salukis established that rank. The Dawgs finished behind tournament winner Iowa State (293-317-610) and runner-up Arkansas State (321-305-626). SIU will return to the links at the N.A.U Lumberjack Invitational September 25-26.
