Due to inclement weather, both the Southern Illinois University and University of Northern Iowa softball teams have opted to play this weekend's three-game series in Carbondale, Ill., on Saturday-Sunday, Mar. 24-25.
The series, which was originally scheduled to be played in Cedar Falls, Iowa, was moved compliments of snowy weather which made fields unplayable. Although there was talk of playing the series in Burlington, Iowa, as well, coaches agreed that it was best to move the league duel to Carbondale to avoid any possible postponements.
Both teams will square off in a noon doubleheader on Saturday (Mar.24) before a single game on Sunday (Mar. 25), which also begins at noon, concludes the three-game series.
