SIU And Creighton Series Opener Gets Washed Out

Omaha, Neb.--Due to inclement weather, the Southern Illinois University softball team's series opener with Creighton scheduled for 5 p.m., has been cancelled.

Steady/heavy rains in the Omaha area were the cause for cancellation as coaches of both teams mutually agreed to do away with play early this afternoon.

Both SIU and Creighton will resume play Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at noon.
