SIU Women's Golf Finishes Ninth At Lady Northern

After nearly a two week layoff, the Southern Illinois University women's golf team finished in ninth place out of the 14 team field that competed at the Lady Northern.
The Salukis concluded the three-day event with a three-round team score of 916. SIU opened with a first round score of 310, followed by scores of 300 and 306 in the final two rounds. The University of Michigan (876) won the 2001 Lady Northern, edging out Big Ten foe Northwestern University (887) for the championship.
The top Saluki finisher was Senior Alison Hiller. Hiller shot a final round score of 74 which gave her a three-round total of 224 (78-72-74). Her performance landed her in a tie for eleventh place.
