Volleyball Signs Seventh

Carbondale, Ill. - Southern Illinois University's head volleyball coach Sonya Locke announced Wednesday morning the signing of Holly Marita to a national letter of intent. This is the seventh signee for the 2003 season.

Marita, a 5-8 setter from Pleasant Prairie, Wis., was a member of the Milwaukee Sting's 2001 runner-up junior national championship team in the 17 and under division. She played for Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wis.

"She is filling a huge void in the team with Britten [Follett] leaving after this year," said Locke. "We're excited to have her."
