Football Adds Standout Receiver to Recruiting Class

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Saluki football coach Jerry Kill announced that Brent Little, a wide receiver from Poplar Bluff, Mo., has signed a national letter of intent with Southern Illinois University.
The addition of Little brings SIU's recruiting class to a total of 22.
The 6-1, 175-pound Little is a multi-sport star at Poplar Bluff High School. In football he was a Class 5A first team all-stater who recorded 32 catches for 815 yards and nine TDs last year.
He also excelled in track and field, winning the state long jump championship and finishing second in the triple jump. In addition, Little is a starting guard on the school's top 10-rated basketball team.
"We're extremely pleased to sign a player of Brent's caliber," Kill said. "He's the type of athlete and person we want to build this program around."
