Judge Named MVC "Field Athlete Of The Week"

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University junior Adam Judge was named the Missouri Valley Conference "Field Athlete of the Week" on Wednesday.

Judge is coming off a second-place showing in the hammer throw Saturday at the Saluki Spring Classic, in which he provisionally qualified the NCAA Championships with a personal-best toss of 202 feet. That shattered his former personal-best in the event by 24 feet and placed him second on the all-time SIU outdoor list. Judge helped the Saluki men place third in the eight-team field.

Judge was also named MVC Field Athlete of the Week once during the indoor season on the strength of his SIU record-setting performance in the weight throw (69 feet, 4 inches).

Judge and the Salukis will be back in action April 5-6 at the Texas Relays.
