Carbondale, Ill. - Southern Illinois University (15-8, 4-4 MVC) will step out of conference to face Southeast Missouri State University (9-11, 2-1 OVC) on Wednesday, April 3 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. at 3 p.m. at Capaha Field.
"We would like to get a little redemption against Southeast Missouri because they've got the best of us the last couple years," said Dan Callahan, Saluki head coach.
SIU is 0-4 against SEMO the last two years and has a 2-7 record under Callahan against the Indians. SEMO outscored SIU 30-6 last year, beating the Salukis 11-5 in Carbondale and 19-1 in Cape Girardeau.
Southern Illinois will be back in MVC play this weekend on the road at Illinois State April 5-7.
