SIU, who has won seven of its last nine games, is coming off a 2-1 series win over Creighton on April 20-21. She is followed by shortstop/second baseman Brooke Nett (.307) and third baseman Dawn Piantino (.305) who also bat over .300 on the year.
The Salukis will meet the Otahkians for the third and fourth times this season as both teams squared off in a doubleheader on March 5. SIU, who beat SEMO 1-0, 7-1 in Carbondale, has won its last six of seven contests over the Otahkians as the Salukis lead the overall series, 64-28-1.
