Southern Illinois Volleyball Team To Tennessee-Martin Tuesday

Carbondale, Ill. - TheSouthern Illinois volleyball team will travel to Martin, Tenn., Tuesday to take on Tennessee-Martin in non-conference action. The game is slated for 7 p.m. at the Skyhawk Fieldhouse.

Head coach Sonya Locke looks for this match to be a good opportunity for the Salukis.

"We get to play a team relatively close," said Locke. "It is an opportunity for us to get a potentially significant win. They are a good team and could come out at the top of their conference [Ohio Valley]."

SIU is coming off a tough Missouri Valley Conference loss against Southwest Missouri State.

The Salukis are 7-3 overall. The Skyhawks hold a 5-3 record going into Tuesday's contest.
