Hurdler Jeff Young to NCAA Indoor Meet

Carbondale, Ill. - Senior All-American hurdler Jeff Young will compete at the 2003 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. this weekend. He is one of 17 hurdlers and 270 athletes vying for All-American honors.
The meet will begin Friday at noon at the University of Arkansas with the men's 35lb. weight throw and conclude Saturday night with the 4x400m relay finals. Young will compete in the 60m-hurdle prelims Friday at 4:50 p.m. Finals are at 7:50 p.m. that evening.
This marks the second year in a row Young has qualified for the national meet. He earned All-American honors in the 60m-hurdles last year with a sixth place finish (7.83). Young ran a school record time of 7.80 March 1 to qualify for the meet.
