Hurdler Jeff Young Receives All-American Honors

Fayetteville, Ark. - Southern Illinois University senior hurdler Jeff Young finished tenth in the 60m-hurdles at the 2003 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark. Friday and received All-American honors for the second year in a row.

Young reset SIU's school record running 7.79 in the preliminaries. He placed sixth (7.83) at last year's championship meet to earn All-American honors. The top eight Americans receive the All-American awards.

SIU's track and field teams are off until March 29 when they host the Spring Classic.
