Men's Tennis Loses To Drake In MVC Play

Carbondale, Ill. - Drake University slipped past the men's tennis team, 4-3, on Saturday to keep the Salukis winless in the Missouri Valley Conference. The loss evened SIU's overall record at 3-3.
SIU split the singles action, winning 3 of 6 matches, but lost the doubles point early to allow DU the conference win. A positive note was found at the No. 2 with senior Alon Savidor winning his 46th career singles match, placing him in a tie for twentieth all-time on SIU's career singles wins list. Also freshman Tomas Gonzalez remained undefeated when playing in the top six spots. His only loss of the season came at the MVC Individual Championships while playing at No. 7.
